Non-denominational and Spirit-filled, which simply means we teach the Bible, follow Jesus, and leave room for God to work. No denomination pulling the strings, no stiffness, just people trying to live it out together.

Covenant Church is in Black River, just east of Watertown. From downtown it is roughly a ten to fifteen minute drive straight out Route 3, which becomes State Street. Our address is 28060 Leray Street, Black River, NY 13612, with easy parking right at the building.
Covenant is a non-denominational, Spirit-filled family church. We are not part of a denomination or run from some far-off headquarters, we simply teach the Bible and follow Jesus together. More than the label, it feels like a family: people who actually know each other and do life together, rather than a crowd that files in and out on Sunday.
We gather Sundays at 10:00 AM. Expect genuine worship music, a down-to-earth message from the Bible that connects to real life, and a chance to be prayed for at the end if you would like. It runs about an hour and a half, and there is nothing you need to know or do ahead of time.
Children check in through a secure system so they are only released back to you, then enjoy Kids Church geared to their age during the service. Teenagers have their own youth ministry, and there is a young adults group as well. It is a place we want your kids to look forward to, not just be dropped off at.
Wear whatever you are comfortable in, most people dress casually. You do not need any church background, any particular beliefs sorted out, or any commitment to visit. If you have questions, doubts, or a rough season behind you, you are exactly the kind of person this church is for.
Two things people notice quickly. First, it is genuinely a family, not a performance or a personality show, our leaders aim to shepherd people rather than build a platform. Second, it is Spirit-filled, so we make room to worship freely and to pray for one another and expect God to move. Warm, real, and not high pressure.
Midweek we hold Family Nights where men, women, youth, and kids each have their own group meeting at the same time, so the whole family can come together. There is also a community food pantry open to anyone who needs it, and a Homeschool Connections group for families teaching at home around Jefferson County.
