Spaghetti dinner FAQ
Is the community spaghetti dinner really free?
Yes. The Covenant Church Community Spaghetti Dinner is free for everyone, every week. There are no tickets and no charge.
Is this a fundraiser?
No. It's a free community event, and no one will ask you for money. Local businesses and friends who choose to donate food or give online help cover the cost, and 100% of those gifts go toward the dinners.
What's on the menu?
Spaghetti with red sauce and meatballs, or spaghetti with butter and Parmesan cheese for kids and anyone who prefers a white sauce. Drinks, water, and hot coffee are served too. Everything is free.
When is the free spaghetti dinner?
Every Monday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, starting Monday, October 19, 2026 and running through Monday, December 28, 2026.
Where is the dinner held?
At Covenant Church, 28060 Leray Street, Black River, NY 13612, in Jefferson County. It's a short drive from Watertown, Fort Drum, Carthage, Evans Mills and Felts Mills.
Who can come?
Everyone is welcome: families, kids, seniors, singles, college students, Fort Drum soldiers and military families, and neighbors from all over the North Country. You don't need to be a member of Covenant Church, or attend any church, to join us for dinner.
Do I need to sign up or RSVP?
No sign-up is needed. Just come hungry any time between 6:00 and 7:30 PM on a Monday.
Is take-out or delivery available?
No. The spaghetti dinner is dine-in only, with no take-out or delivery. Part of the fun is sitting down together, so plan to stay and eat with us.
How can I volunteer?
Open the Volunteer form on this page, choose how you'd like to help (line server, back kitchen cook, table server, set up, clean up, greeter, drinks and coffee, dishwashing, kids' table, dessert, or something else), and pick any Mondays that work for you. One night is a big help.
How can a business donate food or supplies?
Open "Businesses: donate food or supplies" on this page and tell us what you'd like to give, such as pasta, sauce, meatballs, bread, coffee, or paper goods. The church office will reach out to coordinate. You can also email covenantchurchny@gmail.com.
Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. Covenant Church is a 501(c)(3) religious organization, so donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Online givers receive an email receipt.
