W4W Women's Ministry · Wednesdays 6:30 PM

You were never meant to carry it alone

W4W is Covenant's women's ministry, a place to exhale, be real, and remember who you are. Honest friendship, faith for every season, and women who will pray with you, Wednesday nights in Black River, near Fort Drum and Watertown. Your kids are cared for so you can actually be here.

Why women come

A place to be known, not to perform

Women hold so much together and are often the last to get poured into. W4W is a couple of hours to set the load down, be honest, and be reminded that you are seen and loved, by God and by women who will actually show up for you.

Real friendship, not surface

This is where acquaintances become the friends who bring a meal, watch your kids, and pray you through the hard weeks. The kind of community that is hard to find as an adult, especially in a new town.

Faith for your actual life

We open the Bible around what a woman really carries, identity, worry, motherhood, marriage, worth, and let God speak into it. Encouraging and honest, never one more standard to live up to.

For the deployment seasons

Many W4W women have run the household solo while a spouse was deployed. If that is you, this becomes your people, the ones who check in, help out, and remind you that you are not doing it alone.

Come as you are

No dress code, no clique, no need to have your faith or your week together. Walk in tired, walk in unsure, walk in for the first time, you are welcome exactly as you are.

Straight answers

Women's ministry questions, answered

What women most want to know before that first Wednesday.

What is W4W?

W4W is the women's ministry at Covenant Church, a place for women to breathe, be real, and be reminded who they are. Across every season, single, married, a new mom, an empty nester, a military spouse holding down the home, it is where women find honest friendship and grow in their faith together instead of carrying it all alone.

When do the women meet, and can I come if I have kids?

W4W meets Wednesday evenings at 6:30 PM as part of Family Night at Covenant Church, 28060 Leray Street, Black River, NY 13612. Your children are covered: Kids Church and the youth group meet at the very same time, so moms can actually be present without arranging a sitter.

What is a typical women's night like?

Warmth and real conversation, time in the Bible that speaks to a woman's life, and prayer for one another. It is unhurried and genuine, a place to laugh, to be encouraged, and to be prayed over, not one more thing on your list to perform at.

I am a military spouse and often on my own. Is this a good fit?

Very much so. Many of the women here have carried the household through a deployment or landed at Fort Drum far from family. They understand that season, and W4W becomes the support network that stands with you when your person is away.

I am new and do not know anyone. Will I feel out of place?

You will be welcomed the moment you walk in. Women arrive on their own all the time, especially those new to the North Country. There is no clique to break into and no dress code to meet. Come exactly as you are and let a few women get to know you.

Is there a cost, and what if my schedule is unpredictable?

There is no cost, and no attendance to keep up. Life with kids, work, and a spouse's schedule is full, so come when you can and never feel behind for the weeks you miss. The women and the welcome are here whenever you make it.

Come Wednesday

There is a seat here with your name on it

W4W meets Wednesdays at 6:30 PM. Bring the family, the kids have their own groups, or come just for you. Either way, you belong.
